About Flash! Seminars
Much like a "Flash Mob" encourages spontaneous dancing, a "Flash! Seminar" encourages spontaneous learning. Flash! Seminars are small, one-time seminars on a variety of subjects taught by UNC's top faculty members. No previous knowledge is required: only an interest in the subject matter.
We aim to bring together people of all majors and backgrounds to hear lectures, engage in debates and discussions, and explore their curiosities outside of the classroom.
Have you ever wanted to learn about a subject or topic, but didn’t have the time to take a semester-long course? Have you ever read a news article, and wanted to delve deeper? Have you ever heard about a great professor, but never had an opportunity to take a class with that prof? Have you ever wanted to have a debate with your peers over a burning issue affecting our community? Then Flash! Seminars are for you!
